Client in Focus: Kimberley Downs Brangus
I recently had the pleasure of working with Kimberley Downs Brangus - a black Brangus beef cattle stud located in southern Victoria. The Davis family of Kimberley Downs has a long history in the beef cattle industry, and engaged me to refresh their brand. On the list of inclusions was a new logo & branding pack, along with photography of their impressive cattle, drone videography & social media videos, and of course a brand new website!
Photography & Drone Videography
The first step in the process with Kimberley Downs was to get out to the farm, meet Roger (one of the owners & founders at Kimberley Downs) & take some photos - to be used on the website, social media & also to help create the graphic element for the logo. Conditions were perfect & we also got the drone up in the air to get some pretty spectacular video of the expansive farm & cattle - what a view from above! The footage we captured was used to create some informative videos for social media that can be used for advertising if required.
Logo Design & Branding
It was important to the Kimberley Downs team that we retain the heritage of their brand, whilst also looking toward the future & modernising. We expanded the colour palette with rich complimentary greens, and introduced a modern take on their existing font. The graphic you see in the logo is based upon one of the Kimberley Downs bulls I photographed, refined to accurately reflect the nuances of the Brangus breed. The result? A logo with heritage & a style that will not date in a few years time.
Web Design
Once we had the new Kimberley Downs logo & branding sorted, along with the photos & videos, it was time to crack on with the website! With a particular structure planned out, I built up the website writing content where needed & adding in content from the Kimberley Downs team. With their new logo & professional photos, the final product came out beautifully! I handed over the website to the Kimberley Downs team who will now manage content updates on their website moving forward.
What a Project!
Projects like this really are the epitome of why I love what I do so much! Being trusted to completely refresh the Kimberley Downs brand, as well as the oppourtunity to arm them with some beautiful photos & videos for social media, blogging & advertising, was an honour & it was a pleasure to work with the team. What did the Kimberley Downs team think of what I delivered? In their words: “It’s so much more than what we thought we were getting!”… I’ll take it!
